Bard sweeps Yeshiva, stays perfect in Skyline
ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Bard College men's volleyball
team swept Yeshiva University, 3-0, on Thursday night to stay atop
the Skyline Conference standings at 5-0.
Junior Ryan Fallon (Ridgewood, N.Y.) led the way with nine
kills and a .900 hitting percentage; senior Dan Placht (Cairo,
Egypt) has seven kills and hit .462. Junior Nick Chan (Victor,
N.Y.) had three kills, seven assists, seven aces and four digs, and
freshman setter Henry Kasiske (Los Angeles, Calif.) had 17
assists.
Bard, 14-9 overall, is in the thick of its Skyline Conference schedule. After a huge come-from-behind win on Tuesday over Mount St. Vincent, Bard will play the Dolphins again on Saturday at noon at SUNY Purchase, then play SUNY Purchase at 4. On Tuesday, Bard will host Sage, a team they narrowly beat, 3-2, back in February.
If Bard can defeat Mount St. Vincent on Saturday, it will all but lock up hosting the Skyline Conference championships on Mar. 27.
