LANGHORNE, PA - The Crimson Eagles were able to
extend several notable streaks during Tuesday's win over visiting
Lancaster Bible College as the host squad won by scores of 25-13,
25-12, 25-17.
Tuesday's victory marks the seventh straight contest PBU has come
out on top in as the group has been flawless over the last three
and a half weeks of action.
But perhaps even more impressive, however, is that the Crimson
Eagles were able to extend their home game winning count to 18
straight with their last loss in Langhorne coming over two full
years ago.
The host group was impressive from the get-go, knocking down 16
kills in just 28 swings (.536 hitting percentage) during the
opening frame to bully past LBC 25-13 off the start.
PBU continued their torrid offensive play during the second
stanza, punishing the Chargers with a .464 attack clip as a group
for the game.
Playing stingy defense as well, the Crimson Eagles limited
Lancaster to a -.042 hitting percentage for the contest while
building up a 42-14 edge in total spikes.
PBU stands 17-0 all-time against their counterpart with Tuesday's
victory intact for a series that dates back to 1994.
Senior Justin Brubaker posted 15 kills and nine digs in the win
while Josh Tuttle added 11 and six, respectively.
The Crimson Eagles will return to the court on the road this
Thursday during a match-up with Kean University at 7:30 pm.
