Gators take rubber match and top SUNY-IT, 3-0

Utica, NY---- The Sage Colleges men's volleyball team travelled to face the Wildcats of SUNY-IT on Thursday night. The Gators tallied a 3-0 win to improve to 9-8 overall, while SUNY-IT falls to 8-10. The Gators tallied a 25-22, 25-23, 25-20 win to top the Wildcats after falling to them just two days ago.

Rookie libero Matt Bynon (Burnt Hills, NY/Burnt Hills) added 17 digs in the contest, while sophomore setter Kyle Ray (Horseheads, NY/Horseheads) connected for 34 setting assists and now has 494 assists on the season. Junior Spencer Hilland (Slingerlands, NY/Bethlehem Central) returned to the lineup after missing several matches with an injury and proceeded to add a team-best 10 kills in the contest with five digs and a pair of block assists.

Sage's sophomore opposite Jake Douty (Rensselaer, NY/Columbia) added nine kills with two digs with four aces and four block assists.
