Birmingham Southern Extends Streak With Two More Wins at SCAC Weekend

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—The Birmingham-Southern
volleyball won two more matches today, defeating Millsaps College
and Oglethorpe University, to move to 19-2 on the season and extend
its winning streak to 11 matches.
The Panthers defeated Millsaps in five sets and Oglethorpe in
four.
Against Millsaps, junior Hope Harris led with 18 kills, while
freshman Alex Both had a double-double with 15 kills and 11 digs.
Sophomore Chelsea Pittman also recorded 10 kills. Senior Christine
Denning led with 46 assists, and senior Jennifer McKannan led with
39 digs.
Against Oglethorpe, Harris recorded a double-double with a
team-high 10 kills and 14 digs, Denning recorded 28 assists, and
McKannan had 11 digs.
BSC travels to Jackson, Miss., next weekend for the second SCAC
West/Central Divisional, hosted by Millsaps. The Panthers will take
on Austin and Colorado College on Saturday, and Trinity and Hendrix
on Sunday.
