Carthage Sweeps No. 3 Emory and Iowa Wesleyan on Sept. 24

Whitewater, WI - The Carthage College
women’s volleyball team (12-5, 2-0 College Conference of
Illinois and Wisconsin), ranked 14th in the Sept. 21 American
Volleyball Coaches Association NCAA Division III poll, won a pair
of matches on Friday, Sept. 24 at the Wisconsin-Whitewater
Tournament II at the Williams Center Volleyball Arena in
Whitewater, Wis.
Carthage swept both No. 3 Emory University (10-2) and Iowa
Wesleyan College (3-15) by 3-0 scores. The Lady Reds’
winning set scores over the Emory Eagles were 25-19, 25-14 and
25-21, and their winning scores over the Iowa Wesleyan Tigers were
25-19, 25-21 and 25-18. On Saturday, Sept. 25, Carthage takes
on the host and No. 5 Warhawks at 10 a.m. and No. 22 the University
of Chicago at Noon.
