Falcons are solo NAC Volleyball Champions

Joe Cawley and his Concordia volleyball squad showed off their skills to a packed house in the John Buuck Fieldhouse last night, besting a plucky Marian team in 4 games to earn sole possession of the Northern Athletics Conference Championship.

The Falcons had to battle for this one against a powerful Sabre front line, but superior digging by Lydia Meaden (27) and Kelsey Lorenzen (23) was a diffence maker. Stephanie Boehm pounded 24 kills as Concordia assumed control in games three and four.

Top seeded CUW, which had not won a conference title since 1987, will host a first round NAC Tournament match next Tuesday against #8 Maranatha at 7:00pm in the Buuck Fieldhouse.
