Elmira College selected as Top seed in 2010 ECAC Division III Metro/Upstate Women’s Volleyball Championship

CAPE COD, Mass. -- After finishing the regular-season with a
25-7 record, Elmira
College was selected as the number one seed in the 2010 ECAC
Division III
Metro/Upstate Women’s Volleyball Championship. The tournament
is a seven team field
with quarterfinal, semifinal and championship rounds.
In the first round contests on Wednesday, November 10, the
second seed Ramapo
College (24-5) will face No. 7 Lehman College (17-14) at 7:00 p.m.
at Ramapo. No. 3
Farleigh Dickinson University at Florham (30-8) plays SUNY Old
Westbury (24-11) at
4:30 p.m. at FDU while St. John Fisher College (19-15) will take on
Mount Saint Mary
College (21-10) at 7:00 p.m. in the No. 4/No. 5 match-up at St.
John Fisher. Elmira
College receives a bye in the first round.
The first-round winners will advance to the semifinals on
Saturday, November 13, hosted
on the Elmira College campus. Elmira will face the winner of St.
John Fisher/Mount
Saint Mary at 10:00 a.m. in one semifinal, while the winner of
FDU-Florham/SUNY Old
Westbury will play the winner of Ramapo/Lehman at 1:00 p.m. in the
other semifinal.
The semifinal winners will meet at 4:00 pm on Saturday for the
championship.
