The Flying Dutch moved within a victory of clinching at least a
share of their third consecutive MIAA championship after sweeping
host Trine on Wednesday night, 25-11, 25-20, 25-18.
Coach Becky Schmidt's Dutch are 14-1 in league matches heading into Saturday's regular season finale at home against Saint Mary's. Rival Calvin (13-1) has two league matches remaining. If the teams end as co-champions the tie-breaker for having the top-seed and home court advantage in the NCAA qualifying tournament next week will go to Hope.
The win over Trine extended Hope's winning streak to 15 in-a-row and puts the nationally ranked Flying Dutch at 22-4 overall.
