Lebanon Valley Downs Alvernia In Straight Sets

READING, Pa. – Lebanon Valley volleyball
stayed perfect in Commonwealth Conference play on Tuesday evening
with a 3-0 (25-12, 25-17, 25-16) win over Alvernia. The Dutchmen
are just one win away from claiming the top seed in the conference
playoffs for the third straight year.
Senior Michelle
Little led the way with 11 kills and a .333 hitting
percentage. Classmate Joelle
Snyder and junior Nicole
Barra added nine kills each. Senior Emily
Perkins tallied 27 assists to lead the offensive
effort.
The Dutchmen (19-8, 6-0 CC) totaled five service aces against the
Crusaders, with two from Snyder.
Nine players posted two or more digs for LVC, led by 13 from
junior Angela
Kuperavage. Classmate Stephanie
Derk added eight and Perkins had seven. Snyder registered
two solo blocks in the win.
The Dutchmen host a tri-match on Saturday with Scranton at 11 a.m.
and Gallaudet at 3 p.m.
