The Lynx dropped two tough matches yesterday in the SCAC
East-Central Divisional at Oglethorpe. The team lost to
Centre in five sets by the scores of 25-22,17-25,25-13,20-25,10-15
and Birmingham Southern in five sets by the scores of
25-22,25-18,12-25,10-25,13-15.
Senior Libero Kayla McCrury became the all time career digs leader
at Rhodes during the Centre match. Heading into the match,
McCrury needed only 9 digs to break the record held by former
Libero Amanda Swanstrom. McCrury finished the match with 25
digs, which put her at 2182 digs total for her career. During
the Birmingham Southern match she added another 16 digs, giving her
2198 for her career with two weeks left on the season. Her
dig total will also rank her in the top ten all time in the SCAC
for career digs when she finishes the season.
McCrury and fellow Seniors Alana Fritsche and Phylicia Douglas
will play in their last home tournament of the season at Rhodes
College when they compete in this weekend's Rhodes Spook
Fest. The Lynx will be in action starting at 12pm on
Saturday.
