Springfield Volleyball Sweeps A Pair In Opening Night of Their Home Invitational

Springfield, Mass. - September 3, 2010 - The Springfield College women's volleyball team opened up the 2010 campaign with a pair of three-game sweeps in the Springfield College Invitational on Friday evening. Springfield dispatched Minnesota Morris, 25-19, 25-18, 25-18, before cruising past Rivier, 25-14, 25-18, 25-2, in the nightcap.
Springfield, which was receiving votes in the AVCA Preseason National Poll, is back in action on Saturday afternoon when it hosts Daeman at 12:00 pm.
