Swarthmore Upsets Top Seed Haverford 3-2; Move onto Centennial Conference Finals
HAVERFORD, Pa. - The Swarthmore volleyball team (19-10) pulled
off the upset of the year, beating the first seed Haverford Fords
(18-13) in five sets, 3-2 (25-20, 17-25, 20-25, 27-25, 15-8).
The win puts Swarthmore in the Centennial Conference Championship
final for the first time in history while snapping Haverford's four
year reign as Centennial Conference champion.
Sophomore Danielle Sullivan and Kat Montemurro led the Garnet offense with 12 kills apiece to propel Swat to victory over the Fords.
