UW-Lacrosse Falls to Eighth-Ranked UW-Whitewater

La Crosse, Wis. - The University of
Wisconsin-La Crosse volleyball team fell 3-0 (25-18, 25-17, 25-19)
to eighth-ranked UW-Whitewater Wednesday night in Mitchell Hall.
The Eagles drop to 9-11 overall and 3-4 in the Wisconsin
Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) while the Warhawks
improve 19-5 overall and 6-1 in the conference.
Katie Gunderson led UW-L with six kills Wednesday
night while Amanda Hardy finished with five.
Kate Malterer, Kayla
Ashland and Liz Schlobohm each recorded
three kills.
Schlobohm had 15 assists as the Eagles hit .041 overall.
Melannie Tate led UW-L with nine digs with
Schlobohm recording seven and Meghan Ashwill six.
Ashland added two blocks.
Caitlin Hogan led UW-Whitewater with 12 kills with Katy Krajnak
finishing with 11. Christina DeGroot recorded 38 assists as the
Warhawks hit .264.
Alyssa Bauer had 19 digs with Hogan adding 10. Krajnak had five
blocks.
UW-L returns to action Wednesday, Oct. 20 at 10th-ranked
UW-Oshkosh starting at 7 p.m.
