STEVENS POINT – The UW-Stevens Point volleyball team pushed their record to 6-0 on Saturday afternoon with victory over Central College (3-2) and a non-conference win over UW-Superior (3-1). The 6-0 start is the best since also starting 6-0 in 2004.

In the victory over Ripon on Friday evening, Morgan Bartkowiak led the way for the Pointers, tallying nine kills in 17 attempts while Kaitlin Wolfe added eight kills on 19 attempts. Chantel York kicked in 18 kills while Molly Elderbrook chipped in 15 digs.

In game two on Friday, the Pointers took on Coe College and after going in front two games to none, dropped their third set 27-25 to force a fourth game. In that fourth game it was again all Pointers, as UWSP pulled away for the 25-6 victory.

Again Bartkowiak again led the way, this time with 14 kills on 26 swings with just one error. Kati Rau was right behind with 13 kills on 27 attempts without an error. York added 33 assists against the Coehawks while Lauren Krum tallied 18 digs and two block assists.
