No. 7 Carthage Outlasts No. 17 Chicago, 3-2

The Carthage College women's volleyball team (13-2, 2-0 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin), ranked seventh in the Sept. 20 American Volleyball Coaches Association NCAA Division III poll, outlasted non-conference opponent and No. 17 the University of Chicago (11-1), 3-2, on Wednesday, Sept. 21 at the Ratner Athletics Center in Chicago. The Lady Reds' winning set scores over the Maroons were 25-17, 17-25, 20-25, 25-17 and 15-10. Carthage travels to Elmhurst, Ill., on Tuesday, Sept. 27 to take on CCIW-opponent Elmhurst College in a 7 p.m. match at R.A. Faganel Hall.
