Amelia McCall of Emory Named D3VB Player of the Week

Secaucus, NJ (October 10, 2011) - Amelia McCall (Montgomery, AL) of Emory is the D3VB Player of the Week.  McCall, a 5'10" outside hitter, led Emory to four sweeps and the title at the Emory National Tournament over the weekend. 

For the year, McCall is averaging 4.07 kills and 3.34 digs per set.  In each match this weekend, she posted double digit kills, including impressive .480 and .391 attack percentages against Ohio Northern and Maryville.  For her efforts this weekend, she was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player. 

McCall, a senior, was the 2010 AVCA National Player of the Year, 1st Team All-American, as well as being named the UAA Conference Player of the Year.
