“This program has become my family over the past three years and I'll miss them all dearly,” said Paciero. “I'm so grateful for the opportunity to have led them; they are one of my greatest joys. These young women realize the mission and motto of Dominican every day as demonstrated by all their achievements on the court, in the classroom, and throughout the Dominican community. I leave confident that their future is very bright.”
The Stars’ head volleyball coach since 2008, Paciero guided the Stars to a 63-38 record in three seasons, leading Dominican to a share of the 2009 Northern Athletics Conference (NAC) regular season title, the 2010 NAC Women’s Volleyball Tournament championship and the program’s first appearance in the NCAA Division III Volleyball Championships last fall. Paciero was named the NAC Coach of the Year in 2010 and the conference’s Co-Coach of the Year in 2009. During her tenure as the Stars’ head volleyball coach, Dominican had two NAC Freshman of the Year honorees, the 2009 Defensive Player of the Year and seven All-NAC first teamers.
“We wish Christine well in her new position,” said Erick Baumann, the director of athletics at Dominican. “She has taken our volleyball program to new heights and we are confident that our program will continue to succeed.”
