Hunter Blanks John Jay To Advance To CUNYAC/Con Edison Semifinal Round

NEW YORK, NY – The Hunter College women's volleyball team swept John Jay College in the quarterfinal round of the CUNYAC / Con Edison Women's Volleyball Championship.

Seniors Katina Boutis, Christine Luebcke, and Mallory Grubler were honored prior to the match - the final home match of their collegiate careers. Boutis led the effort on the court with 26 assists, as Luebcke and Jaclyn Hadfield led the offense with eight kills each.

The 2011 CUNYAC Regular Season Champions, Hunter 20-10 (8-0 CUNYAC) heads to the semifinal round to face the winner of #4 Brooklyn College and #5 City College of New York. The match is scheduled for 6:00pm and will be held at the Nat Holman Gymnasium on the campus of CCNY.
