Johns Hopkins Announces 2011 Volleyball Recruiting Class
BALTIMORE, MD - Johns Hopkins volleyball head coach Matt Troy announced his 2011 recruiting class today, which includes 12 players from nine states. The following is a look at each of the 12 incoming freshman who will look to contribute to a squad that compiled a 19-12 record and secured a second-place finish in the Centennial Conference regular season in 2010.
The incoming class includes Kim Bronson (Chino Hills, CA/Chino Hills), Allison Chisenhall (San Antonio, TX/Keystone School), Megan Cohan (West Chester, PA/Unionville), Anne Cohen (Los Angeles, CA/Harvard-Westlake), Meagan Donohoe (Olney, MD/Our Lady of Good Counsel), Jenny Huh (Northbrook, IL/Glenbrook North), Taylor Jansen (Old Tappan, NJ/Old Tappan), Mar Metalios (Huntington, NY/St. Anthony's), Ellen Rogers (Macedonia, OH/Laurel School), Katie Schwarz (Londonderry, NH/Londonderry), Megan Schwarz (Londonderry, NH/Londonderry), Hayley Weidenbenner (Plano, TX/Plano West).

Team captain of Keystone School team junior and senior years and San Antonio Heat club team as a senior... second team all-state selection as a senior... first team all-district pick junior and seniors seasons... team MVP and offensive player of the year as a junior and senior... academic all-state during junior and senior seasons.

Team captain at Unionville... all-state outside hitter as a senior... named to Ches Mont and District One First Teams during senior year... PVCA State All-Tournament Team selection as a senior... earned team MVP honors as a senior.

First team all-league selection as a senior... led team to undefeated record in league play and CIF playoffs in junior and senior seasons... as a senior helped team win Durango Tournament title, earning it number one national ranking for much of 2010-11 season... two-year letterwinner... starting libero.... recorded over 180 digs during senior campaign... named one of top liberos in Southern California by L.A.
