Ramapo Drops Hunter 3-1 in ECAC Action
Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's volleyball team
defeated non-conference rival Hunter College tonight at the Bradley
Center, 3-1 (23-25, 25-17, 25-21, 25-20). The #4 Roadrunners
improve to 28-7 overall while the Hawks end their season at 21-12
overall.
The Roadrunners advance to play #1 Elmira College on Saturday on
the road. This is the second straight season Ramapo has advanced to
the semi-finals. The time of the match is to be determined.
Senior Michelle
Ferrari led the Roadrunners with 21 kills while she
recorded ten digs. Rookie Deandra
Black posted 12 kills and one block while rookie Sara
Pendleton tallied nine kills on 20 attempts as she hit
.300 on the night. Senior Tiffany
Fischer dished out 40 assists and 16 digs while senior
Elizabeth
Steck posted a match high 30 digs.
Christine Luebcke posted ten kills for the Hawks while Mia Alexis
De Claro dished out a team high 34 assists. Mallory Grubler added
seven kills while Alisa Jaganjac tallied 30 digs.
