The No. 7-ranked Tommies (9-0 overall, 1-0 MIAC) stayed unbeaten with Wednesday ngiht's 3-0 victory over the visiting Gusties (5-5, 0-1) in MIAC volleyball action at UST's Schoenecker Arena. St. Thomas posted a 25-14, 25-11, 25-16 victory.
The Toms broke to a leads of 10-0 and 17-4 in the second game to take control. Coach Thanh Pham's team had 11 service aces as it ran the program's home-court win streak to 10 matches dating back to September 2010.
Taylor Cross had 10 kills; Ashley Maher had 35 assists and four aces; Kaitlain Wachter had 19 digs; Kari Anne Nass had four aces; and Nicole Potts had eight kills and three solo blocks.
UST will travel to San Antonio for this weekend's Trinity U. Tournament. The Tommies will face three other top 25-ranked squads.
