Comet Volleyball Players Pick Up a Hammer To Help Out Habitat For Humanity

DALLAS, TX (04.02.11) – Several members of the University of Texas at Dallas volleyball team picked up a hammer Saturday afternoon to help the Habitat for Humanity build new houses in the South Dallas area.

Coach Marci Sanders and nine student-athletes were part of a massive volunteer effort to help the Habitat for Humanity in its mission to build new homes for economically-disadvantaged families.

The players spent much of their Saturday at the worksite, pitching in with framing of several new homes. Attending were Hillary Baugh, Aubrey Bratcher, Dana Hilzendager, Taylor Martinez, Christina Murphy, Shelby Murphy, Tabitha Terrell, Halea Williams and Kelsey Zerkel.
